Nerdversity Reviews: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classics Raphael

Released in 2015 alongside the other 3 Turtles, Raphael follows suit in paying homage to both the original 1987 toyline and cartoon series as well. The front of the card is the same, just with the changed nameplate and the figure inside the bubble.

He shares the Manhole cover base with the other figures, same raised logo on the front and his name on the base plate. He also comes with his sai, which are made of a soft rubber, painted in silver with red handles.

He has the same massive amounts of articulation as the other figures in this series. Neck, shoulders, upper arm, bicep, fingers, abs, thigh, knees, ankles and toes. He's amazingly sculpted and detailed. The paint apps bring out the figure's details.

The figure is akin to Leonardo in that he makes reference to both the cartoon and the original toy because of the scowl. He can be posed in so many ways with the crazy amount of articulation that makes most collector grade figures look like Kenner Star Wars toys. He's available on the secondary market and can probably be found on most store shelves.
