Nerdversity Reviews: Wolf Link Amiibo

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was released on the GameCube and Wii in 2006 and met with critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. In 2015, an updated remake was released for the WiiU, which was also met with acclaim.

There were 2 ways to get this amiibo when it was first released. The first way was to get one of the many versions of the collectors editions in your country, which featured the game and the amiibo, which unlocks a challenge dungeon. The other way was to wait a few months after release for the single carded version to be released.

Wolf Link stands 2 inches tall like his other counterparts and comes standing on two rocks. Midna is riding on his back like the game. The main paint apps are grey and black. Link has a chain sculpted round his wrist. Sculpting is impressive, there's actual fur sculpted on, The figure looks like it has stepped out of the game.

It's difficult to see, but the base of the figure is actually a Hylian Crest that would be seen on the Hero's Shield in all the games.

I got this figure loose, so I can't tell where it came from. However, he blends in with any amiibo collection and joins the mixture of styles perfectly. He doesn't feel out of place at all. I would recommend this figure to anyone who's interested in amiibos and a fan of The Legend of Zelda.
