Nerdversity Reviews: Thundercats 2011 4 Inch Wily Kat

In 2011, Bandai were given the license to create action figures in both 4 inch and 6 inch action figures, based on the cast of characters in Michael Jelenic and Ethan Spaulding's reboot of Thundercats.

Wily Kat comes on the standard blister card for all the figures in this wave. It features artwork of the redesigned Kat in the upper left. The rest of the blister bubble is taken up by the figure and the accessories.

The back of the card has a bio for Kat in a multitude of languages. The main graphic is of Kat on his hoverboard. The rest of that section has the figures in the wave 1 line. Underneath that, we have a listing for all the vehicles in the wave.

Kat stands around 2 inches tall and comes sculpted in his redesigned outfit from the series. He shares the same lack of articulation as Kit. moving only at the neck and arms. He does come with a blue hoverboard, which is a nod to his 1980s counterpart and comes with a pair of cats claw whips.

Again, one of the weaker figures. That's only really down to the lack of articulation in the figure. Sculpt wise, it's great and he looks like he stepped right out of the cartoon. Rather hit and miss. Expect to pay around £10 for him carded.
