Nerdversity Reviews: Thundercats 2012 4 Inch Claudus

The Second Year of figures slowly came to an end in 2012. The final figure of the 4 inch basic wave was King Claudus.

Claudus comes on the standard 4 inch blister card. It has the THUNDERCATS logo in the upper left of the card and a large picture of Claudus next to it. The figure is visible inside the large bubble.

The back of the card has a graphic of the figure, holding his single accessory., Around him is a short rundown of the series and a bio for Claudus himself printed in various languages. Underneath that, we have the Vehicles and figures released in Year 2, as well as the Year 1 figures that were still available at the time.

Claudus stands 4 inches tall and comes modelled after his appearance in the show. Not much in the way of details on the outfit, but he is wearing battle armour and pants. His articulation is in the neck, shoulders, biceps, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. His sole accessory is a metallic painted Sword of Omens that fits on his left hand, thanks to a groove in it. The fit is perfect and could also serve as an upgraded sword to Lion-O.

This figure is an interesting one. A character that had a few appearances in the show being the swansong of the 4 inch basic line. While this is a figure that really balances out the heroes, there should have been other figures in the latter half that should have gotten a plastic counterpart. It's still one that should have a home in the collection.
