Nerdversity Reviews: Thundercats 2012 4 Inch Deluxe Mumm-Ra

There were only 3 deluxe figures released in the Year 2 line up, making 6 Deluxe figures overall.

Mumm-Ra comes in the standard window box packaging as all the other deluxes. It has the large THUNDERCATS logo at the top and then a small graphic on the side of the Mumm-Ra artwork, It's shared with the basic Mumm-Ra The Ever Living artwork.

The back of the box has artwork showing the figure with a small bio. The left hand side of the card shows how it works. The bottom of the card shows all the figures and playsets that were available at the time

Mumm-Ra comes modelled after his Ever Living form, He's articulated in the wings, neck, shoulder, biceps, wrist, hips, knees and ankles, making him as poseable as the standard release figure. His accessories are the Sword of Plundarr and the Gauntlet of Plundarr. He can have them in his hands. How the figure works, by folding the wings around his body and licking them into the holes in his chest, then tapping the gauntlet against the Thunder Lynx port on his back, the wings pop open.

If you can look past the wing gimmick and action feature, you have a brilliantly sculpted and detailed figure that can be better than the Year 2 Basic figure, or worse, depending on your opinion. The gauntlet and sword do add to it and he's articulated, which is a bonus for the deluxe figures.
