Nerdversity Reviews: Star Wars The Force Awakens Kylo Ren

When The Force Awakens was released in theaters in December 2015, it was a marketing juggernaut and it's easy to see why it earns billions in Merchandising alone, each year.

Kylo Ren was released in the second wave of Jungle figures. The card features the The Force Awakens banner across the top of the card, new artwork of Kylo Ren. The rest of the card has the figure and the build a weapon pieces

The back of the card is a military green colour. It features a short bio for Kylo Ren at the top. On the left hand side, there's a look at all 3 figures in this wave to make the Build-A-Weapon. On the middle of the card is the 3 pieces and how they look on the figure.

The figure includes the same double sided instruction sheet. It shows all 3 weapons that come with the figures and how to put them together to form the giant cannon piece.

The figure itself is 4 inches tall and is his masked look throughout most of the film. He's articulated at the neck, shoulders and hips. Though the hood pulled up and the shoulder cloak do hinder the movement a little.

His main accessory is his lightsaber. It's made of a long, flexible plastic and also features molded on venting. However, not sure if it's all of them or just mine, it does come with a glob of silver paint on the blade. He can hold either piece very well.

His Build-A-Weapon pieces are two blades that also feature blasters. They clip onto his wrists. Molded in white plastic, they feature grey and green detailing.

If you missed out on getting the 4 inch scale Kylo Ren from the first wave of figures, then you can easily get this one. It is a repack of the earlier figure, just with new card art and Build-A-Weapon pieces. If you have the wave 1 figure, this one can be skipped. I do wish the figure did have a removable mask, so we could have both versions. I also think maybe a Vader helmet could have been another accessory,
