There's no denying the impact Star Wars has had on pop culture and merchandising over the last 40 years or so. The fact that Star Wars merchandise is still available is proof enough of the staying power of Star Wars.
Hero Mashers Darth Maul comes in the standard window box for the series. It has the logo in the upper right hand side, then the window with the figure and the accessories visible. On the lower right, we have the Masher Boba Fett.
The back of the box shows Darth Maul and all the other pieces in the line, as well as the other figures available.
Darth Maul stands around 6 inches tall. He's modelled after his appearance in later comics, with his cybernetic lower body. He's articulated in the neck, shoulder, bicep, wrist, hips and knees. The legs and arms pop off to swap parts. He also has ports to attach accessories.
His accessories are a single lightsaber and a spider lower body part. The spider-body is based on his appearance from The Clone Wars cartoon series. The light saber fits in his hand and looks great.
To transform Maul into his cyber-spider form, simply pop his legs off at the hip and connect the hips onto the ball joints inside the spider body.
Hasbro really knocked the ball out of the park when it came to this Darth Maul figure. It's a great nod to a more obscure era. He has his cyborg legs from the later comics and the cyber-spider form from The Clone Wars. I like this figure and I am glad I was able to pick it up from Tesco on clearance.
