Nerdversity Reviews: Blaster Master

Sunsoft created some pretty amazing games back on the NES. They ranged from all original titles, to movie licenses.

Blaster Master was released by Sunsoft in 1988. It was an arcade style shooting game. It mixed driving, shooting and platforming into one seamless experience.

Blaster Master is considered by many, to be one of the best games released for the system. The plot revolves around a young boy, who's pet frog by the name of Fred, touches a nuclear reactor and turns into a giant mutant frog. Fred disappears into a labyrinth of tunnels. The boy follows, finding a tank called S.O.P.H.I.A, whom he uses to track down Fred.
