The NES was a home to a variety of different genres of games. Konami had a home on the NES, porting over a number of it's arcade shooters.
Life Force was released by Konami in 1988. It was a port of the arcade game Salamander, a spin off of the now classic Gradius series of games. Konami were well known and loved for their arcade ports and that silver box was a sign of quality.
Life Force uses the Gradius formula, but is much shorter and has a 2 player option. Like with Gradius, players can upgrade the Vic Viper ship, or the Road British in 2 player and decimate the opposition.
