The NES was one of the most influential systems of it's generation. It spawned some of the most popular and well known games of it's generation, many of which are still well loved and played to this day.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game was released by Ultra in 1990. Ultra Games was an offshoot of Konami, in order to get around the block of developers only being able to release 3 games a year. This game is well known to fans as being a port of the now famous TMNT arcade game and it even came with a $5 coupon for Pizza Hut.
Despite only being 2 player, while the arcade was 4, this was no doubt a popular game. It even included 2 NES exclusive levels. Sure, it wasn't as vibrant or the game directly from the arcade, but everything we know and love from the game is there, and that's what mattered.
