Nerdversity Reviews: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo Evolution (Part 4)

Lets continue our look at this Evolutions 3 pack boxed set.

First things first, the figure comes with a flyer, showcasing all the figures that were available in the 2015 wave of figures, accessories, playsets and vehicles, as well as a look at other figures that were coming soon

The figure itself is a repack of the 2015 basic Nickleodeon Leonardo figure. It has the same 5 inch scale. Articulation is in the neck, shoulders, bicep, hips and knees. He's modelled as close to his new appearance as possible, which also has hints to the 1984 and 1987 characters, He has the plain belt, harness and wraps that the 1984 figure has, yet the blue bandana of the 1987 figure.

In a nod to the 1987 figure, he comes with a vertiable arsenal of weapons attached to a plastic tree. Aside from his trademark Katana blades, he now comes with a knife, a short sword, a pair of throwing stars and a set of three kunai. They're all molded in grey plastic.

Leonardo can hold all his weapons just fine. They also fit very well in the sheath on his back. The cartoonish proportions and large hands and feet make the other weapons look a little small in his hands, especially the shuriken and kunai.

Overall, the figure is pretty good. It's well articulated and detailed, including chips and cracks in the shell and pads. The cartoonish proportions may not be to all tastes, but if you are interested in it, it is worth a shot.
